2019 has been a year of transitions. Since January, Shari transitioned from Cru to Eagle Vision Ministries. Nathan started Eagle Vision Ministries during his senior year of college over 20 years ago. Eagle Vision’s purpose is drawing people closer to Christ for a lifetime. Eagle Vision has 25 acres with a 3 room cabin. This retreat center provides individuals and small groups a place to unplug and connect to God, His creation, and each other.
This year the focus has been growing the ministry through building relationships, hosting work weekends and planning next steps. We rejoice in how the Lord has worked. We celebrate having a volunteer architect and an engineer give of their time and expertise. We celebrate work weekends at the retreat center, including a new outhouse dug, lawn maintenance, and deep cleaning the cabin. We celebrate connections through pancakes, game nights, and events. However, the road ahead is long and challenging. The Lord needs to provide in significant ways.
In this day and age of smart phones and social media, people are more connected then ever, but also more alone, isolated, and stuck. The next phase of our business plan is increasing first impressions amenities. Having a storage shed, increasing bathroom features, and developing a secure gate with signage will allow others to experience pause, reflect, and renew at the retreat center.
This is an all hands on deck effort to meet the need of expertise, volunteers, and funding. We need your help to make this happen. Here are 3 ways you can be part of this vision:
Our family is grateful for how the Lord has allowed our paths to cross. We look forward to linking arms together in fellowship and partnership. To stay focused on drawing people closer to Christ for a lifetime, we are trusting the Lord for $20,000 to kickoff first impressions capital campaign.
In celebration of the Lord’s work, would you give a gift of $500 or another amount? Make your check payable to Eagle Vision Ministries to receive a 2019 income tax deduction. I have enclosed an envelope and response card for your convenience. Or make a gift here. Thanks again for your vital partnership!
